May 13th, 2008 by Kiyani ~ No Comments

Microsoft has announced that it plans to introduce Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger for BlackBerry in summer this year.

At first BlackBerry Bold along with BlackBerry 7000 and 8000 ranges will get the softwares. Later it will be included in more models.

Users will access their Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger account directly from their smart phone by entering their Windows Live email address and password once. They will also be able to download the services onto existing BlackBerry handsets.

Brian Arbogast, vice president of the Mobile Services organisation at Microsoft said:

Over 430 million people around the world rely on Windows Live to stay in touch. Our collaboration with RIM will enable BlackBerry smartphone customers to take full advantage of Windows Live at work or on the go.

Last year Microsoft launched email and IM services for Nokia Series 60 and Windows Mobile phones.
