New Ad Format Promises To Help Messages Stay Visible

May 4th, 2009 by Admin ~ No Comments

Keeping your marketing message in front of consumers on webpages where page layout becomes unpredictable due to user contributions is a challenge. However, VideoEgg has recently introduced a new ad unit that could solve the problem.

Some webpages, particularly those on blogs and social networking websites, often become elongated due to the addition of comments or the continuance of conversations.

This change in formatting can often affect the visibility of fixed location banners ads. To counter this problem rich media ad network, VideoEgg, recently launched an ad unit that enables advertisers to keep their message in front of users in such environments.

Called Twig, the new ad format (video) affixes itself across the top or bottom of a page, staying within view as a site visitor scrolls up or down. Offered on a cost-per-engagement basis, advertisers only pay when a user engages with an ad.

Twig also has an opt-in “full page expansion” feature that gives advertisers an additional opportunity to involve and engage viewers in a rich media experience that expands to fill the page.

“Twig addresses a key challenge in the online media environment-ads that aren’t in frame long enough to drive user engagement,” said Troy Young, CMO of VideoEgg.

“By offering a unit that’s always in view, VideoEgg provides bloggers and publishers with a powerful new way to monetize content. Like everything we do, Twig is performance based and expands to a highly rich full-page experience, so brands love it as well.”
