Omar Khan, a student of Tesoro High School in Californina faces up to 38 years in jail on charges of hacking into school computer system to alter his grades.
Tesoro High School was made famous by the reality TV series Real Housewives of Orange County.
The 18-year old was arrested for breaking into his prestigious high school and hacking into computers to change his test grades from Fs to As. Prosecutors in Orange County have filed 69 felony counts against 18 year-old Omar Khan. If convicted on all counts, the high school student would face 38 years in prison.

Among the counts being filed against Khan are 34 charges of altering a public record, six counts of burglary, seven counts of computer access and fraud and one felony count of conspiracy.
Fellow student Tanvir Singh was charged with four felony counts for aiding in the break-ins. He could face up to three years in prison if convicted.
Mr Khan’s defence lawyer, Carol Lavacol refuted the charges by saying:
He is a really nice kid and there’s a lot more going on than meets the eye.
Prosecutors claim that Omar broke into the school late at night with a stolen master key. He also changed the grades of 12 other students, and that he installed spyware on school hard drives that allowed him to access the computers from remote locations.
School authorities were made aware of Omar’s activities when he requested a copy of his official transcript while applying to the University of California, Berkeley.
Tesoro High School has 2,800 pupils and often appears in Newsweek magazine’s annual list of best high schools.
