Electronic Arts has set a release date of June 2, 2009 for the latest addition to the Sims series. The Sims 3 will be released on Windows, Mac OS X, iPhone, and even on some mobile operating systems, giving it a wide following of players. There are many new features debuted in EA Games Sims 3. Some of the anticipated features include the incorporation of the Create-A-Sim editor, a now seamless world, and a movie making and editing toolkit.

Create-A-Sim

This feature is perhaps the most intuitive, because it allows for the customization of various aspects of your Sims 3 character. Create-A-Sim presents the user with an easy to use 3D mesh editor that gives the player the ability to edit almost any feature of his or her Sims 3 toon. Consequently, one is able to easily manipulate parts of the user’s character, such as facial features, clothing, weight, height, hair, and more. In previous versions of the Sims, one’s house and neighborhood were separate from the outside world. However, in Sims 3 the user can easily travel from his or her home to a town without experiencing any interruption, as the areas are combined together into one seamless world for Sims to explore.

Movie Making Toolkit

Sims 3 fans will now be able to capture their most treasured moments and bring the world to life with what will certainly be the most popular feature in Sims 3. The Movie Making Toolkit gives the player the ability to create movies out of his or her Sims experiences. These movies can be easily edited, split or merged together. Once the desired effects are compiled the user will be able to share their experience by uploading the newly created video to EA Games Sims 3 online community, the Sims 3 Exchange.
