Hewlett-Packard has confirmed of buying outsourcing giant Electronic Data Systems for $25 per share. This works out to around $13.9 billion. The deal has been signed off and now it is pending before government regulators and EDS shareholders for approval.

So it’s official now that Microsoft has abandoned its plan to acquire Yahoo. But you never know when in future Microsoft may go again after Yahoo because “never say never”.
The question arises though as to what was the main reason of deal failure?

It seems Microsoft-Yahoo deal is back on track as they both are engaged with each other over possible merger.

Yahoo Inc. is set announce a deal to carry search advertisements from Google Inc. The deal will be finalized within a week to defends itself from the threat of a hostile takeover bid by Microsoft Corp.
This was reported by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday.
