Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) has accused Facebook of 22 privacy violations.
This is not the first time as in January 2008 Facebook was quizzed by the Information Commissioner’s Office in UK following a complaint by a user who was unable to fully delete her profile even after terminating her account.

A UK charity organization Charity Action says that ads being displayed on Facebook are violating rules laid down by the Office of Fair Trading(OFT).

MySpace launches ‘Data Availability’ project

BBC hacks Facebook - exposes flaw

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has made an application called “The Miner” that scrapes personal information from the profile it is added to - and from the profiles of all the friends of that person. According to their technology program “Click” has exposed a security flaw in the social networking site Facebook which could compromise privacy.
