A Playstation 3 ad on PC World which shows that it can PlayStation 2 games has been labeled as misleading by the Advertising Standards Authority. The TV ad for the 60GB PlayStation 3 featured a close-up of the console and a sales assistant saying: “And it plays your PS2 games as well”.
Toshiba laptop to have IBM’s cell processor

Toshiba has announced that it will release a laptop with a variant of cell processor jointly developed by and alliance of Sony, Toshiba and IBM known as STI. No firm date of laptop launch has been given but it is expected to be released this year. Sony’s PlayStation also uses cell processor.

The 3-D online social networking service is now a year late as Sony tries to provide gamers with a Second Life-type experience. After keeping video-game diehards waiting for months, Sony has decided to postpone the rollout of Home—the PlayStation 3 video game console’s 3-D online social networking service—for several more months.
