Microsoft has re-released a critical security patch related to Bluetooth that could allow remote code execution. This Bluetooth patch along with others were earlier released by Microsoft as part of its June 2008 security update.

Safari flaw on Windows is due to IE: proof of concept

Liu Die Yu, a security researcher has published proof-of-concept code for the blended Internet Explorer (IE)-Safari for Windows threat. He shows that the “carpet bomb” exploit in Safari is caused by a design flaw in Internet Explorer.

Hewlett-Packard to set Windows Live search as default option

Programmers prefer Windows XP over Vista

A survey by Evans Data, a market research company, has revealed that more developers prefer Windows XP over Windows Vista when it comes to developing applications. They survey questioned 380 US software developers and found that just eight per cent are developing applications for Vista.
